CNRS entreprise training

We have designed and carried out two training courses for CNRS entreprises.
The first one is entitled: 3D laser printing: applications for the design of microsystems and microfluidic chips. It was postponed to 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic but took place in 2022. It gathered 4 trainees.

The programme is presented below: 
Day 1
- Introduction and presentation of participants' expectations
- State of the art on 3D laser printing
- Visit and demonstrations on the 3D printing platform
- Practical course on the basics of 3D design with Fusion 360 software and the design of a simple microfluidic chip
- Printing of microfluidic parts 

Day 2
- Development and characterisation (metrology, surface conditions...) of microfluidic chips
- Fluidic characterisation of the functionality of microfluidic chips
- Visit and demonstrations on the high resolution 3D printing platform in a clean room
- Exchange of views and answers to questions, closing of the training course

The second one is entitled: Additive manufacturing: CAD, FDM and stereolithography. It was carried out with colleagues from the IBDM in Marseille and was attended by 6 trainees in 2022.

The programme is presented below: 
Course
- The different technologies in 3D printing
- Setting up an object slicing software (Cura 4.9 and/or Simplify 3D)
- Use of CAD software : Freecad and/or Fusion 360
- Feedback on FDM and stereolithography

Practical work
- Creation of objects with Freecad and/or Fusion 360 CAD software
- Setting up an FDM printer with Cura 4.9 and/or Simplify 3D software
- Production of objects by the trainees with a Strean 30 DUAL and/or Form 3B printer

Master's course "Materials, Elaboration, Characterisation and Surface Treatments".

An integration of the knowledge acquired in the framework of MultiFab around SLS technologies in the framework of a module of the Master 2 training "Materials, Elaboration, Characterisation and Surface Treatments".


M2 PhysioPathology TOULOUSE Univertisty/ M1 Biotechnology_LIMOGES University

Since the beginning of the project, each year we have carried out training and skill dissemination activities by running more than 20 hours of collective intelligence workshops for students in Master 1 (biotechnology) and Master 2 (Physiopathology) at the University of Limoges and then Toulouse. Each workshop brought together between 15 and 50 students. The reverse teaching topics were mainly about additive manufacturing for life sciences
