Welcome to the ELiA Team, where cutting-edge research at the intersection of mechanobiology, single-cell analysis, and microphysiological systems is driving innovation in tissue engineering and precision medicine. Our multidisciplinary team is pioneering new methods to explore the physical forces that shape cellular behavior, utilizing advanced technologies such as microfluidics, 3D printing, biomaterials, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and micro/nanopatterning to develop sophisticated in vitro tissue models or analytical devices. With a focus on the dynamic interactions between cells and their microenvironments, we address critical questions related to pathological contexts such as cancer, tissue regeneration, and the co-evolution of cells and their surroundings. Through our work, we aim to redefine how biological systems are modeled, manipulated and characterized, advancing understanding from the single-cell to tissue scale.
