Nicola Accettura

I am CNRS Associate Research Scientist (Chargé de Recherche de Classe Normale) within the SARA team at the Laboratory for Analysis and Architecture of Systems (LAAS-CNRS) in Toulouse (France) working on the performance evaluation and protocol design of Low Power Networks for Internet of Things.

I got my Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) on February 28, 2025, with a final dissertation titled "Scalable and energy efficient communications in the Internet of Things".

Between 2014 and 2015 I have been postdoctoral researcher at University of California Berkeley, USA, contributing in modeling scalable IoT networks and to the standardization activities of the IETF 6TiSCH working group.

I got a PhD in Information and Communication Technologies (2013) by Scuola Interpolitenica di Dottorato, Italy. I got my MSc in Telecommunications Engineering (2007), and my BSc in Computer Systems Engineering (2004) from Politecnico di Bari, Italy.

I am the Principal Investigator of the ANR JCJC LAPSUS project. I am Working Package leader of the Task on "Multi-technology and multi-scale resource management" within the DONUTS project funded through the ANR PEPR 5G program

I serve as Executive Editor of Wiley Internet Technology Letters (ITL).
