The medal ceremony, coordinated by the Occitanie Ouest delegation of the CNRS, took place on Tuesday, November 18, in Hall M, Toulouse.

Charline Blatché, a research engineer in the I2C department of the characterization platform, received the CNRS 2025 crystal medal during the evening.

She is responsible for the biology area (over 500 m²) of this platform, which focuses on three main themes: cell biology, biofabrication, and microscopy, enabling work on biological issues using bioengineering tools.

Charline led the design and development of this space dedicated to experimentation and biological instrumentation of micro- and nanosystems for living organisms.

Through her work, she has adapted biological techniques to the requirements of technological projects, enabling teams to integrate biological dimensions into their research. The research conducted there concerns, for example, the development of neurons on chips, used to measure the electrical signals of neurons in studies on neurodegenerative diseases.
