Charline Blatché, winner of the CNRS Crystal Medal

Distinctions

Our colleague was awarded the CNRS Crystal Medal for her work in biology in the engineering sciences.

Charline Blatché, Lauréate de la Médaille deCristal 2025-2

Charline Blatché, research engineer in the I2C department of the characterization platform, has been awarded the CNRS 2025 Crystal Medal.

She is in charge of the biology area (over 500 m²) of this platform, which is organized around 3 main themes: cell biology, biomanufacturing and microscopy, enabling work on biological problems using bioengineering tools.

Charline led the design and development of this space dedicated to experimentation and biological instrumentation of micro- and nanosystems for living organisms.

Through her work, she has adapted biological techniques to the requirements of technological projects, helping teams to integrate biological dimensions into their research. The research carried out here includes the development of neurons-on-a-chip, used to measure the electrical signals of neurons as part of studies into neurodegenerative diseases.
