FabLAAS :-)

As you have certainly noticed, a fablab called FabLAAS has been set up in the self-service area of the electronics workshop.
The FabLAAS aims to provide a place, tools and training in rapid prototyping for the development of your research projects (only professional). This place is meant to be complementary to the services already available in the laboratory (mechanical workshop, electronic workshop, MultiFAB...)

FabLAAS equipments:
- 2 3D hot wire deposition printers (1 of which is self-service after training),
- a tinkering area,
- a bench for electronic soldering,
- electronic and mechanical components,
- a photographic box,
- and soon a laser cutter.

The functioning of FabLAAS:

The FabLAAS team has formed a committee with representatives... (to be completed). Currently the daily functioning is ensured by Vincent BROSSA, Thomas FLAYOLS, Julie FONCY and Lionel SEGUIER. All the people who wish to invest themselves in its functioning and its animation are welcome.

How to use the equipment of the FabLAAS:

The tinkering area, the electronic soldering bench, the photo box are in free service.
For 3D printing, there are 2 possibilities:
- You have regular 3D printing needs: we train you in using the printer as well as the safety conditions, after which you will become autonomous
- You want to print a part punctually: you send the STL file to fablaas@laas.fr, and we take care of the printing

For all requests and information, send an email to: fablaas@laas.fr
