Short Bio

I received a Master of engineering from Telecom Paris in 2020 and a Master of Sciences in biomedical engineering from Imperial College London in 2020. From 2020 to 2023 I prepared my PhD thesis at INSA Toulouse (TBI) and INRAE (MIAT) under the supervision of Thomas Schiex and Sophie Barbe. In 2024-2025 I went for a postdoc in KU Leuven under the supervision of Pr. Tias Guns. From 2025, I joined INSA and LAAS as an associate professor.

My research activities focus on hybrid AI that combines Machine Learning and Combinatorial Optimization, and their application to real-world problems. So far I have mostly used learning to model the combinatorial problem, either by imitating good solutions or by interacting with a user to learn their preferences. I have applied the first method to design proteins for green chemistry or medicines.
