Short Research Statement

Currently Associate Professor, I lead the optical fiber sensing activities at LAAS CNRS within the Optical Sensors and Smart Integrated Systems (OASIS) research group where I develop fiber interferometers for metrology and geophysics instrumentation as well as fiber refractometers exploiting both multimode and microstructured optical fibers for refractive index (RI) measurements and gas detection. Since 2018, I have also been working on photonic integrated circuits (PICs), an activity that I co-initiated with my colleague Dr O. Bernal, to develop PIC platforms for designing integrated sensors and their associated on-chip functions for biochemical applications, metrology and on-chip optical processing.
