Claude Baron

Claude BARON is full Professor in computer sciences at INSA Toulouse (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Toulouse), University of Toulouse. 
After graduating from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (MSc/Engineering Degree in Industrial Computing, 1992), she received a PhD in Computer Sciences (Honours, 1995) and the "Habilitation à diriger les recherches" diploma (2005).

At INSA, she has been in charge of graduating programs (systems and software engineering, dependability, real-time systems) in her faculty. She also has been involved for several years in International and Industrial Cooperations. She is now vice-president of the INSA council of studies and member of the Academic board of the University of Toulouse. She is driving the transformation of programs to meet today's socio-ecological challenges.

During 8 years she was in charge of a research group on embedded dependable systems in the LESIA Laboratory, Toulouse. In 2006, she was the deputy director of the LATTIS laboratory, Toulouse. She joined the LAAS-CNRS lab in 2009. She has been in charge of the Systems Engineering and Integration team (ISI) between 2017 and 2024.
