Applying for a stage de 3e

Every year, LAAS-CNRS welcomes around forty 3e students for their "stage de 3e", allowing them to discover the professional environment.

The placements are organised in groups of around 10 students. Students are welcomed during several sessions throughout the year, organised according to the dates requested by their schools.

Therefore, the dates are not defined in advance and are adjusted according to demand.

You can also come and meet us during the laboratory’s Open Day on October 10^th (Science Festival). A dedicated stand for young people and "stage de 3e" placements will be available.

A few tips for applying

• Don’t try to write the perfect cover letter.
• A good application is above all simple, genuine and personal.
• Your letter should help us get to know you better: tell us about yourself, what interests you, what you enjoy learning, and what you expect from this stage de 3e.
• The application is not based on academic level, but on motivation, seriousness and a desire to discover.
• Of course, you can ask someone to help you write or proofread your letter, but make sure that it remains your letter and genuinely reflects who you are.
• You can also tell us about your interests, your affinity for certain subjects or scientific fields, as well as your extracurricular activities, projects, passions, or what you enjoy doing outside school.
