Vidushi Singh : Best Oral Presentation Award, JEELS 2024
Vidushi Singh, winner of the best oral presentation at the JEELS 2024 conference, July 2-4, 2024.

At the JEELS conference organized by the Société de Microscopie Française (SFM), held from July 2 to 4, 2024 in Toulouse, Vidushi Singh, a PhD student in the NEO team, was awarded the prize for best oral presentation.
The presentation focused on research into reactive multilayer films (RMF), funded by the ERC researcher grant and under the supervision of Carole Rossi.
This study introduced a new nanoscale thermite and focused on investigating the reaction mechanism of zirconium as fuel in reactive thin films using electronic imaging and correlative spectroscopies. The results established a low-temperature reaction pathway, leading to enhanced reactivity compared with conventional systems and offering promising applications for controlled energy release.
