Variations Turbulences: an art and science exhibition
Since 14 March, the LAAS-CNRS has been hosting a temporary exhibition by visual photographer Sidonie Ronfard.

Sidonie Ronfard, a photographic and visual artist and graduate of the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs (ENSAD), is the prizewinner of the Résidence 1+2 / Factory #14 programme. It included photographic residencies in institutions, research laboratories and companies in Toulouse and the Occitanie region.

Her exhibition ‘Turbulences’, presented at the Chapelle des Carmélites last October, is the result of a residency that took place from March to early July 2024 at the CIMI in Toulouse, bringing together 3 laboratories (IMT, IRIT and LAAS-CNRS). Her artistic approach is based on 'a dialogue between human perception and the things that we cannot see'.
A selection of photographs taken within 6 LAAS-CNRS teams has been custom-printed to create an ephemeral exhibition entitled ‘Variations Turbulences’, in the laboratory hall. The artist will present the genesis of her works during a lecture on May the 5th.
