Florent Sevely, best DGA thesis 2025
Florent Sevely, a doctoral student in the MRS team, received the DGA 2025 award for best thesis, chosen among a hundred candidates.
He received this distinction for his thesis entitled ‘Design and development of an ultimate data protection device based on nanothermites deposited by 3D printing.’ Florent Sevely, from the MRS (Reactive and Energy Storage Materials ) team, was one of three winners selected from 100 theses examined.
In his doctoral thesis defended in June 2023, Florent developed an ultra-fast data destructor based on a highly reactive energy nanomaterial composed of a mixture of fine aluminium (Al) powder, copper oxide (CuO) powder, and Cu(NH3)4(NO3)2.
This innovative technology is currently being transferred to a French company.
