Current projects

EpiCentre
EpiCentre is a common laboratory between LAAS-CNRS and Riber aiming to develop new materials for Quantum computing and Spintronic applications.

TopMemo
The TopMemo project aims at studying the interactions between a Topological Insulator (TI) and a Magnetic Layer (ML) for the next generation of magnetic random-access memories (MRAM). This project involves collaborations between LAAS-CNRS and CEA-Spintec.

CryoSup
CryoSup is a project funded by the Institute for Quantum Technologies in Occitanie for developing the growth of superconductors epitaxially integrated at cyogenic temperature.

SpinMat
The SpinMat project aims to create a national “platform” network with unique capabilities for developing new materials for Spintronics applications.

Completed projects

Hybrid Materials for Quantum Science and Engineering

The HYBRID project was a project between the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, University of California, Santa Barbara and France’s Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique (CEA), Universite Grenoble-Alpes and the Grenoble Innovation for New Advanced Technologies campus (GIANT). It was funded thanks to a French-American collaboration through the ANR-PIRE join program.

NanOnSi

NanOnSi objectives were to develop CMOS compatible growth of low bandgap and high mobility III-V nanowires integrated on silicon.
