In this talk, I will discuss the implications of wireless transceiver integration, particularly the challenges associated with fully-integrated single-chip designs. The first topic will be about the CMOS integrated circuit design of the wireless transceiver and the network-level implications of removing all off-chip components. The second portion of the talk will be focused on various applications and deployments of this transceiver including hornet tracking, environmental monitoring, and IoT security. The talk will conclude with a discussion of future work on networking and development of biodegradeable devices.
