Ultra-thin solar cells reduce costs and environmental impact, but their thinness limits light absorption. Correlated disordered nanostructures, obtained via colloidal lithography, effectively trap photons. This thesis characterized these patterns, developed a fabrication process (with an adjustable pseudo-period), and validated their integration into ultra-thin silicon. We observed an increase in absorption, which we explained using simulations.
