Visit of Nadia Pellefigue, Vice-President of the Occitanie Region of Economy, Innovation, Higher Education and Research
As part of the "New Grean Deal" initiative, Nadia Pellefigue, Vice-President of the Occitanie region in charge of Economy, Innovation, Higher Education and Research came to visit the LAAS-CNRS on Monday, September 21.
After a general presentation of the laboratory and its main research themes and fields of application, Nadia Pellefigue was able to understand part of our research, mainly :
> in humanoid robotics, with the work of the Gepetto team on the analyzing and generating the motion of anthropomorphic systems, showing the HRP-2 and Pyrene robots, but also the new quadruped robots.
> on robots interacting with the environment, where the RIS team was able to demonstrate the physical interaction capacity of their aerial robots, especially when carrying a load; then the work of the RAP team related to the interaction with humans and their place of activity.
> on space, the ESE team presented the research in progress on nanosatellites, one of the major challenges of which is the control of the energy environment.
The visit ended with a presentation of LAAS-CNRS key actions in the field of transport-mobility, followed by rich and promising exchanges on the prospects and avenues for improvement for the Occitanie region.
