After that of the Internet, the concept of ambient intelligence is a new scientific revolution. The massive interconnection of smart objects requires knowledge and raises extremely varied issues that not only understand but all experience in real conditions, including the establishment of infrastructure and new tools. It is noted that in 2002 Michel Diaz, director of research at CNRS and carrier Adream project, in an article published in the Letter of LAAS. LAAS, the four research fields, micro and nanosystems, auto, IT and robotics, find themselves perfectly in the issues raised, was all the more reason to develop and bring a project of this nature that are multi-and transdisciplinary since early in culture. The first formal brainstorming sessions began in 2004 and resulted in a scientific program, which, together with an assessment of the infrastructure and equipment necessary for its implementation, was submitted in 2006 to the Agreement State-Region project, CPER. The heart needs, new equipment and a building, instrumented object itself and search for shelter. Once the project is accepted began writing specifications. The energy component was not included in the initial project. This is an internal consultation LAAS which led to the complete providing photovoltaic panels on the facade of the building for its energy independence and its roof-oriented research. June 15, 2010 took place the first scientific Adream day, during which guest speakers and researchers from LAAS treated themes of the project. A ceremony of laying the first stone of the building was held at LAAS the evening of the same day in the presence of institutional personalities, academic and industrial partners and friends and members of the LAAS.
