Résumé
Ce mémoire aborde différents travaux sur les couches logicielles nécessaires à l'utilisation d'une plate-forme distribuée pour mettre en place de nouveaux usages. Il sagit danalyser la performance au sens large que ce soit la performance d'exécution d'applications parallèles, de programmation parallèle, de consommation énergétique ou de coût financier. Les contributions concernent les outils et les algorithmes d'ordonnancement (qualité de service, impact du réseau, coût économique), la simulation fine des ressources informatiques ainsi que la gestion du cSur de réseau sous des contraintes de qualité de service et de consommation énergétique. Les environnements de programmation parallèle, la gestion de performance dans un environnement autonomique tout comme la gridification et l'analyse de codes applicatifs ont également été abordés.

Abstract
This paper presents a solution to respond to the increasing management needs of complex networks and applications in datacenters. It presents a way to describe QoS needs at both application and hardware platform levels within an autonomous management tool called TUNe. High level graphical languages are introduced to describe autonomous management policies. The provided extension allows dynamic reconfiguration of both application QoS profiles and network hardware QoS classes depending on the global environment state. Experiments are being conducted with a P2P system called Azureus on a set of Cisco 7600 routers.

Abstract
his paper presents a middleware that aims to respond to the increasing management needs of networked sensing devices, such as remote software deployment, dynamic configuration and real-time performance monitoring and tuning. These are essential functions for building adaptable systems providing high quality of service. Furthermore, autonomic management bears particular importance for large scale systems having timely response requirements. Our middleware allows creating high-level policies that describe the actions to be autonomously performed when interesting events occur in the system. The policies are formulated as Event-Condition-Action (ECA) rules. They are created by using UML-like diagrams and can be deployed at any level of the distributed architecture of the system.
