Abstract
A monolithic microejection head has been developed in order to deposit nanovolume of chemical or biochemical reagents. It integrates a micro-array of up to 4000 thermal ejectors/cm2, each ejector being actuated independently of its neighbours. In order to avoid thermal interactions, it is supported by a stressfree dielectric membrane and individual adressing has been achieved by integrating polysilicon diodes in the thermal actuator.
