SWIMMER is an AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) capable of carrying a standard work-class ROV to a seabed installation), actually acting as an autonomous deployment platform. It began operational service (CYBERNETIX and IFREMER) in 2001 with an autonomous docking with a sea bottom station( -100 m ).
