The SLAM summer school will be held at the Laboratory for Analysis and Architecture of Systems  (LAAS-CNRS) located in Toulouse, France. 

Toulouse is a city of 700 000 inhabitants located in the South West of France, capital of the Midi-Pyrénées region. It is located on the banks of the Garonne river, close  to the Pyrénées and halfway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. It is well known for some remarkable monuments and some worldwide famous high tech products and companies (Concorde, Airbus, Spot, Aerospatiale, etc.) The warm glow of red bricks and tiles gives Toulouse its nickname, "La ville rose" (the rose red city). 

Toulouse is easily accessible by road, rail and by plane directly or through connections (via Paris, London, Francfort, Munich,  Amsterdam, Madrid, ...).

Climate in early August is usually warm (30°C) with occasional evening thunderstorms.

Accommodation
A set of single rooms have been reserved for the students in a student housing at the SupAero Engineering school on the scientific campus very close to the conference place. Six nights are included in the registration fees (the restaurant of the residence is open for breakfast and dinner; not included). 
If you remain more than 6 nights in Toulouse, you will have to pay the  rent of the room for the additional nights.
